The Black
Wallows Foundling Hospital: a puppet operetta on the end of depression."
Our tale follows the misadventures of a pair
of orphans as they fall victim to the scheming of a team of maniacal
doctors. Borrowing on images from Depression era horror/scifi cinema,
these scientists prey on the hopes and fears of their tiny wards,
turning children into nightmares in their depraved efforts to ' free
them from feeling.' The story is told through music, both live and
recorded, marionette and shadow puppetry, psychadelic video montages
and live actors.
