The Fancies have recently showcased our puppet operetta, "The Tragical Ballad of Black Bonnet: a kitchen maid's secret" in the New Orleans Fringe Festival. We enjoyed a very warm audience response. Check here for upcoming encore showdates!

The Fancies have been granted studio space and theatre access at the Colton Academy on St. Claude ave. Further information about Colton can be found here on the 'Studio at Colton' page and at

We are the recipients of a Louisiana Division of the Arts Artist's service grant for 2008-09 and a Transoforma Creative Recovery Grant. With these funds we are currently teaching classes at Colton Studio in Parade Arts and puppetry.

This Spring the Fancies will build an installation at Socrates Scuplture Park as part of the State Fair Exhibition. Opening May 10th in Long Island City. See the 'State Fair' page for more info.
